Problem :

I was installing pyswip and needed to run a setup.py file.Using the command "python setup.py", I'm getting the following message: "python: can't open file 'setup.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory."

Trying to run other .py files from the terminal gives me the same results.

Solution:

When ever you want to run python setup.py please make sure that your setup.py file is present in the current directory.

You can control the current directory with the cd command.

So to resolve your issue follow below approach

cd /home/acacia/Python-3.3.0/PySwip/pyswip-0.2.3
python setup.py install
