Problem :

I get the below error in my browser
template might not exist or might not be accessible by any of the configured template resolvers

Solution :

The error is telling you that there is a conflict with login credentials. I think you should declare thymeleaf in the index.html . As follows:

e.g.    
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" 
xmlns:th="http://www.thymeleaf.org" 
xmlns:sec="http://www.thymeleaf.org/thymeleaf- extras-springsecurity3" xmlns:layout="http://www.ultraq.net.nz/thymeleaf/layout">

<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />
<title>k</title> 
</head>
