Problem :

I am stuck with the following strange looking error
'sudo' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Solution :

Sudo allows you to execute an application with elevated privileges on Unix. If you want to achieve the similar effect under the Windows then you will need to open an administrative prompt and execute your commands from there. Under the Vista, this can be easily done by opening the shortcut while holding Ctrl+Shift at the same time.

It is possible that your account already may have sufficient privileges and that depending on how your OS is setup, and the Windows version you are using.
