Solution :

To avoid going into the infinite loop please add the extra RewriteCond line at the top of your rule as follows:

RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} ^$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]

RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} ^$ helps in preventing infinite looping by checking an internal mod_rewrite variable as REDIRECT_STATUS which is by default set to 200 after the first successful internal redirect.

It will solve your issue.
