Problem :

I have the habit of using the Task Manager frequently to watch my programs that are running on the computer and I often see that there is the program that has caught my attention as below:

"Sink to receive asynchronous callbacks for WMI client application."

What looks doubtful to me is the name of this program which does not "look" like the official program that the Microsoft would install on the box.  Does anyone know this program?

Solution :

Rest assured this is the legitimate Windows process and it will not harm the PC.
The unsecapp.exe or as it is described – Sink to receive the asynchronous callbacks for WMI client application. That process is basically used in the Windows for syncing of the actions like Windows Updates or Defender updates, or basically any contact required with a Microsoft Servers. This process is generally used by some of the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) tools to be able to communicate with each other. This is the official Windows file or process that is on the every Windows 10 system now so you have nothing to worry about it in relation to that file

Hope the above given explanation clears all your doubts.
