Join the laptop to the HomeGroup.

To access resources in a HomeGroup, the computer must join the HomeGroup. Setting the network type to Home and enabling Network Discovery are all necessary, but by themselves will not allow resource access until the HomeGroup is joined. You can only create a single HomeGroup on a LAN segment; because one already exists, you will not be able to create a new one on the laptop.

Hope this might help you.
