Problem :

I am very new to Wordpress. I am facing below error if I look into my fire bug console.

“Uncaught typeerror: jquery.easing[jquery.easing.def] is not a function”

Currently I am trying to create the slider on wordpress. I am currently working on my localhost. My slider works when it is in html file and outside of wordpress. But if it is in wordpress then it gives me above error.

Can a beginner like me fix above error?

Solution :

I have faced this error in the past. To fix it there are multiple options just check which one suits to your code.

In your inspect element where you have encountered the error is printed you need to just hover with your mouse on your filename and it will give you the complete path of file.

After doing this just open your Jquery easing plugin file and simply wrap the code inside as shown below:

$(document).ready(function() {
  Your Code goes here...
});

You should also check  if you are loading the jQuery more than once. If by mistake you have inserted in your footer manually then just try removing it.

If you are importing a jQuery easing plugin or it is higher than 1.7.2 then you must remove that and simply use below code:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.2.js"></script>

Hope it fixes your issue.

Problem: I am getting the following error in the Chrome dev console: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'msie' of undefined As I understand it, this is because {j0}} is now deprecated in jQuery, however I am using the latest version of jQuery tools and it still throws an error. I checked the file jsand it is there. How can I get around this so that it doesn't throw an error?
