Ever forget which Android phone you have? Unlike few iPhones, there are hundreds of Android phones, and many of them have obscure names. If someone asked you what phone number you have and you forgot the model name or just want to find out for your reference, here's how you can find out.
How to find your Android phone model:
First turn the phone over and look at the back cover. Some phones, such as Samsung's Galaxy line, print the phone model on the back. The title is usually at the bottom and can be in a color that is difficult to read unless the light shines on it correctly. If there's nothing on the back of your phone, don't worry. Unlock your device and open the application " Settings ". Select " About Phone " at the bottom of the list, under " System ". In the " About Phone " section , you should see the item "Model", or a similar entry, which indicates the common name of your device.
Elsewhere in this menu, depending on your device, you may see a specific model number. Unlike a generic name, a manufacturer can use the model number to see the specific specifications of your device. If you do not see the model number, look for an additional entry called Hardware Information , or similar. In this case, you should find the model number. If you need more information about your phone, or can't find what you need in this menu, install the Droid Hardware Info app , which will show you complete information about your hardware.
It will show you tons of information about your phone and its hardware, including the model.
